Nepal Floods: Search Intensifies for 105 Missing Indians

Severe flash floods in Nepal have triggered a large-scale search and rescue operation, with 105 Indian nationals reportedly among those missing. The situation turned critical in the Rasuwa region near the Tibet border after the Bhote Koshi River rose rapidly, damaging roads, bridges, vehicles and other infrastructure.

Several of the missing Indians are believed to have been travelling through Nepal as part of their journey towards the Kailash Manasarovar pilgrimage. Difficult conditions and damaged connectivity have made rescue efforts challenging in some areas. Nepalese security agencies are continuing search operations, while Indian authorities are closely monitoring developments and coordinating assistance.

The exact number of casualties and missing persons may change as officials verify information and rescue teams reach affected locations. Families of the missing Indian travellers are anxiously waiting for updates. Authorities from both countries are working to establish the whereabouts of those unaccounted for and provide assistance to people affected by the disaster.
